As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17
The Refuge is the most unique recovery meeting in our area. We are blessed to work toward the eradication of the most catastrophic problem that is ravaging our communities... addiction. We promise every person will be engaged and encouraged through a conversational discussion on the topic of recovery. However, our meetings are for everyone who has been touched by addiction whether directly or indirectly. There is not a single soul in our community that has not been touched in some way by addiction. We aim to change that through deep Kingdom relationships, large group gathering, small group accountability, biblical counseling, and community service platforms. Hope you will join us at our next meeting. You never know... Jesus just might change your life!
Weekly Meetups
Tuesday 5:30pm-7:00pm
Our Tuesday meeting at The Refuge is committed to Celebrate Recovery and following the 12-step program and 8 principles connected to the Be-attitudes in the Sermon on the Mount from Matthew 5:1-11. We gather for a meal and fellowship at 5:30 pm with a recovery meeting to follow at 6:00 pm. Our meetings are very informal always looking for a teaching moment impacting the lives of those that attend. Laughter, encouragement, tears, and great joy are the norm at our meetings. Come!
Thursday 5:30pm-7:00pm
Our Thursday meeting at The Refuge is conducted in a variety of ways after a tremendous meal provided at our expense. With the Lord as our head, our leadership team uses many different formats to relay the truth of God to those walking through recovery such as: open forum, open share, teaching opportunities, testimonies, struggles, and more specific instruction from the word of God. The atmosphere is free to discuss and walk through struggles, triggers, trial, and successes together as followers of Jesus. Hope you will join us!
Community Service Opportunities
Saturdays 10 :00am to 2:00pm
Community service is encouraged as a follower of Jesus. We believe service of others keeps our minds and hands from mischief of wrong behaviors. We also want to show our community that we are a productive part of our society, but most of all, we serve because Jesus put on the form of a servant redefining what humility is to the whole world.
