Compassion

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion...

Matthew 9:36

As small town Kingdom servants, King Jesus directs His church to minister with His heart, see with His eyes, and touch lives of the broken with His hands. Compassion ministry is impossible apart from the heart of God.  Just as Jesus was moved with compassion on the multitude, we, too, are moved to heal the broken, to help the helpless, and give hope to the hopeless. Our community wants to see Jesus, and we want to love and care for our community as if He was walking the streets of small town Arkansas. Presently, we do this in a variety of ways. Our monthly food pantry feeds more than 200 households monthly. On multiple occasions, we have found ourselves caring for the poor individually. We have also found that you cannot out give God. However, the greatest part of compassion ministry is supplying hope were hope has been lost.  God is using His church to proclaim His glory throughout our community. If you are struggling to find hope, know that hope can be found... His name is Jesus. Compassion ministry is our primary way of engaging our broken community "...that our lives might be to praise of His glory who first hoped in the gospel." Ephesians 1:12  FirstHope Compassion!

Compassion Ministry

Food Pantry Distribution @ 1-5 pm every fourth Monday

Every fourth Monday, we serve more than 200 households meeting needs and supplying hope for our community. We only require a picture identification, a small amount of information, and a patient spirit. Everyone is welcome regardless of income, creed, or color. Hopefully, we will build some eternal friendships along the way. It's our privilege to serve our community.

The Refuge @  6:00 pm every Tuesday

Every Tuesday we engage addiction. The Refuge is a safe place for the broken to connect with other individuals who understand the trials, struggles, failures, and successes of recovery. The Refuge is all about transforming community through biblical relationship, large group gathering, small group accountability, personal counseling, and biblical community.  Looking for help... find hope!
